Description: OpenSS7 overview.

OpenSS7 is in the production stage on a number of significant components. Other components are in the Beta or Alpha stage. Some components remain unsuitable for public release. What we have done is made the source code available for those that are interested in following the development or in pushing the envelope on our development.

Even though a number of components are production stable, load this code and mess with it at your own peril. There is still a possibility that the code will crash your machine and cause you to have to reboot. You might irreparably damage your header files and be unable to recompile your kernel. You may have to reload your system. There is no warranty.

If you want to work with the latest cutting-edge stuff from OpenSS7, you will need CVS access. See the "CVS Archive" page for more information on obtaining CVS access priviledges.

We continue to develop and release components that have not yet been available. We have a number of significant release that will be forthcoming shortly. If you are interested in testing Alpha or Beta software and help us stabilize the releases, please drop us a note at openss7@openss7.org and let us know your intentions.

If you would like to contribute to OpenSS7, subscribe to our mailing list and e-mail us (openss7@openss7.org) and let us know what and how your would like to contribute. If you would just like to see where we stand on the source code, check the "Downloads" page.

For more detailed status information, see our Road Map and Status Reports.
