Description: OpenSS7 Product Status VoIP SSCOP-MCE

Note that it is now possible to select from most of these categories off of the "Related" sidebar menu.

Overview:-

The SSCOP-MCE transport component is an implementation of the Service-Specific Connection Oriented Protocol for Multi-Cast Environments (SSCOP-MCE) (Q.2111) for both Linux Native and STREAMS, as well as a STREAMS interface to the Linux Native implementation.

SSCOP-MCE is a fundamental component of the SS7 over IP. SSCOP-MCE runs over UDP or IP modules. SSCOP-MCE provides three interfaces: an ATM Adaption Layer Interface (AAL), a Network Provider Interface (NPI) and a Transport Provider Interface (TPI).

SSCOP-MCE Linux Native provides a socket interface.

SSCOP-MCE components interface directly to Linux NET4 IP and UDP implementations.

History:-

Work on the SSCOP-MCE transport component began in January 2001.

Status:-

The Linux Native release of SCCOP-MCE is in the Proposal stage.

The STREAMS release of SSCOP-MCE is in the Coding stage.

The STREAMS TPI interface to SSCOP-MCE Linux Native releas of SCCOP-MCE is in the Proposal stage.
